What this site is

Mineral Record republishes public oil and gas records — production filings, permits and pipeline layers — together with figures we compute from them. It is free to search and needs no account.

No affiliation with any agency

We are not the Railroad Commission of Texas, the U.S. Energy Information Administration, or any other government body, and we are not endorsed by one. We are not affiliated with any operator or company named on this site. Company names appear because they appear in the public filings.

For an official record, go to the agency that holds it. This site is a convenience, not a system of record.

Reported value is calculated, not observed

Where this site shows a dollar figure, it is the volume the operator filed multiplied by the published benchmark price for that month. It is not a sale price, a royalty payment, a lease bonus, a tax basis, or an appraisal. Real proceeds differ from a benchmark for reasons this site cannot see — contract terms, deductions, transport and quality differentials among them.

Do not use a figure from this site as the basis of a royalty claim, an offer, a valuation, or a tax filing.

Locations are approximate — this is not a locate

Pipeline and lease positions are as filed with the state. They are approximate and they are not survey grade. Always call 811 before you dig. Nothing on this site substitutes for a professional line locate.

Accuracy

We try to reproduce the underlying records faithfully. We do not guarantee that any page is accurate, complete or current. Source data is filed by third parties, revised after the fact, and sometimes wrong at the source. If you find an error, tell us on the contact page.

The underlying public records are not ours and we claim nothing over them. The site's own design, text, code and compiled presentation are ours. Cite us if you reuse a page.

The site is provided as-is and as-available. We may change, pause or withdraw any part of it at any time. We do not promise uptime.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or from reliance on anything published here. This includes lost profit, lost opportunity and any indirect or consequential loss.
